The Critter Corral

Note:

During summer months our farm animals are on display on weekends only!

Mandy feeding kid goats at Jack Creek Farms
We have a number of farm animals for visitors to observe. If you stop by at feeding time we'll let you help! Mandy is feeding Trooper, Bonzai and Geronimo.
Kinder Goats at Jack Creek Farms
George and Tammy are our most popular critters. They are "Kinder" goats. They are gentle and love children and adults alike. They are very much like deer and love to jump and play on the boulders in their pen.

Vanilla is a friendly brown and white lop eared rabbit. She likes to be petted and fed treats. She has also been known to hop up on the boulders and play King of the Mountain with the goats.
Kenny and Dolly are a pair of snow white Silkie chickens. They are super soft to the touch, just like goose down. Dolly sometimes sits on the goat's backs.
Silky Hen at Jack Creek Farms

One of our most unusual farm animals that guests just love is Lyle. He is a Swedish crested runner duck. He has a top knot on his head.

Wynonna, our Ruen duck hen is setting right now, so we'll have lot's of new ducklings this summer.
Geese at Jack Creek Farms
New additions this past year were three goslings the girls raised. They are now full grown geese and have turned into delightful pets. They even know their names and will respond when called to. Also we have a pair of turkeys. They have original names: Boy Turkey and Girl Turkey :-). Girl Turkey is sitting on a clutch of eggs. Perhaps we will have more turkeys soon!

The animals are taken home from the farm store to our home on the other side of the farm each night where they will be safe from coyotes, bobcats and foxes. They make the ride daily to the farm store in the back of a pickup with the girls. They enjoy the ride so much, when we open the corral they head for the pickup and jump in on their own, ready for the ride.
